My name is Nick Ruth. I am a writer from Cherry Hill. I’m currently a Senior at Rowan University majoring in English and Writing Arts with a specialization in Creative Writing and a minor in Anthropology. My hobbies include gaming and playing guitar. In my writing, I am particularly excited by science fiction and its ability to construct vast, living universes that can provide both an escape from and a critique of our own world. I’m eager to combine my academic studies with this style of extensive world-building in the hopes of widening my creative scope.
My dedication to hard work and high attention to detail have contributed to my academic successes. In 2019, I received the Nathan R. Carb scholarship from the Rowan University English department for demonstrating exceptional passion for literature and for my writings on works ranging from Postcolonial Modernist novels to Henry V. I have also held a 4.0 GPA for my entire time at Rowan.
I am currently a full-time student, but I am also working on developing my writing for publication and starting work on a novel. I can be contacted at nicholasruthwriting@gmail.com. You can also check out my Twitter @NickRuthWriting, where you can read some sentences I wrote for my Rhetorics of Style course.
